The aim of the Kilparrin Statewide Support Service is to support metropolitan and country preschool and school staff, parents and other service providers in facilitating access to and participation in appropriate curricula for students with sensory impairment/s (vision and/or hearing) and additional disabilities.
The responsibilities for curriculum planning and reporting remain with the preschool director or school principal and the pre/school teacher.
Orientation and Mobility referrals are also available to identified students.
Professional development activities specifically related to the curriculum and learning needs of the students supported by Kilparrin are held on site and in other settings by negotiation.
